New Goal: Three Weeks Left
A Promise Made is a Promise Kept!
Estimated reading time: 1 minute, 13 secondsThe first two weeks of fundraising for my Big Climb for Blood Cancer United have exceeded my expectations. I sincerely thank the over 75 friends who generously donated $6,697 in just two weeks. Their incredible support has already helped me surpass my initial fundraising goal, which included matching contributions. As of yesterday, I have raised $11,697, reaching 98% of my goal. However, with only twenty-one days left until I climb twenty-six stories on April 4, I’m in a dilemma. I achieved this by matching 75 cents for every dollar donated, not my promise to match dollar for dollar.

While some may feel satisfied having spent less and choose not to honor their promise to match every dollar donated, I remain dedicated to fulfilling my pledge. I committed to matching every dollar donated, and I intend to keep that promise.
I made a matching contribution on April 2, and I expect that Blood Cancer United will credit it to my account early next week. This contribution will increase my matching donations to $7,000, which corrects my previous shortfall. If that amount were credited today, my total would reach $13,697.
Given this progress, I have decided to raise my fundraising goall to $15,000.
With approximately $300 in pledges, We are very close to achieving our new goal. An additional $500 in donations, matched dollar-for-dollar, would allow us to reach this target.
Can we do this? I am committed to putting in my best effort. Will you help?
