My Hug Deficit is Larger Than Mt. Everest

We need four hugs a day for survival. We need eight hugs a day for maintenance. We need twelve hugs a day for growth.
If Ms. Satir’s analysis is correct, my deficit is higher nine months after Jan died than Mt. Everest.
Like many widows during COVID, I can count my hugs with the fingers of one hand.
Love never dies, but I could use a hug today.
